3G, 4G, WTH?

Confused by all the 3G and 4G and other technobabble being spun around by cell companies?

Yeah, me too. I've read things that say 3G and 4G are the same thing, but are different due to marketing "speak." Admittedly, I've read all kinds of crazy s**t.
