Color me surprised. Everytime I've called them, they've been terrible. I had a similar problem that took half a year to resolve (and putting Windows back on my laptop - grrrr!). I was so mad at them I threatened to cut off my phone service completely. The rally cry around my house was "I'll go Comcast!" After hearing me scream this at the phone, my kids went around saying it for days.
I hope this isn't an isolated incident and perhaps is a shift in their support policies.
