Possibly the Most Cynical Thing I've Heard Today

Caring for Pets Left Behind by the Rapture

For a fee, this service will place your dog or cat in the home of a caring atheist on Judgment Day
Centre doesn't think he will ever have to follow through on the service he offers. But he believes in virtuous acts. His Web site directs about $200 a month in proceeds from Google ads to food banks in Minnesota and New Hampshire. And to pet owners, he has already delivered something of great value: peace of mind, for just 92 cents a month. "If we thought the Rapture was really going to happen," Centre says, "obviously our rate structure would be much higher."

If he thought the rapture was really going to happen, I dare say that he would not be in the post rapture business.

No doubt.

When he finds out the rapture has happened, he will be far too busy being tormented to be able to care for anyone's pets. All the money in the world won't be able to make up for the misery he will suffer ... for an eternity.

I'm not sure what's sorrier... the fact that this guy is offering this 'service' or the fact that somewhere, SOMEONE will actually buy it.

Sadly if you look at their website, they are apparently getting quite a bit of business.
